A parent's worse nightmare: Little Evil

Adam Scott shines in horror comedies. In 2015 he starred in Krampus, taking on a European folklore Christmas monster. Now he leads the Netflix original movie Little Evil, where he becomes the stepfather to the Antichrist. Scott plays Gary, a guy who just got married to the woman of his dreams (Evangeline Lilly) only to realize her son (Owen Atlas) is his worst nightmare. The trailer teases to the horror comedy flick focusing on Gary being tormented by his stepson's evil goat hand puppet and his Damien-esque tendencies. Of course, mom Samantha sees her son as a perfect angel rather than the literal devil incarnate. Watch this if you're into silly slashers like Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Director Eli Craig also helms Little Evil. Now streaming on Netflix.

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan in Outlander.

Catch up: Labor Day weekend binges

Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to take advantage of an extra day off and catch up on some popular shows before they return in the fall. Here are two to add to your must-watch list.

Outlander: Based on the bestselling novels by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a 1940s nurse who inadvertently travels back in time to 1740s Scotland and eventually falls in love with a young Highlander outlaw (Sam Heughan). Watch the first two seasons on the Starz app. The third season premieres Sept. 10 on Starz.

Last season: Outlander's second season finale is full of hard truths for the Frasers

Broad City: Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson are probably the only two people on television who can make me cry from laughing so hard. The three-season comedy series quickly became a critical darling for its graphic humor and authenticity. I also like to think people love it for Ilana's signature catchphrase, "Yass, queen." Oh, and last season it featured a cameo by Hillary Clinton. Watch the first three seasons on Hulu. The fourth season premieres Sept. 13 on Comedy Central

FX

Join us: American Horror Story: Cult

Haunted houses, asylums, witch covens, creepy circuses, urban legends - these horror stories have nothing on the 2016 election. The seventh season of Ryan Murphy's creeptastic anthology series American Horror Story is called Cult and deals with the obsessive paranoia and anxiety that came with the presidential election and persists today. Star Sarah Paulson is more than distraught on election night when she watches Donald Trump win. On the other side is Evan Peters' blue-haired character, who's seen roaring with joy over the next president. This season also features themes of coulrophobia (fear of clowns) when Paulson's character keeps seeing creepy clowns following election night. No word yet if there will be portrayals of Trump or his opponent Hillary Clinton. 10 p.m. Tuesday, FX. Watch five seasons of American Horror Story on Netflix.

Last season: American Horror Story explores gorey history of Roanoke

AHS Roanoke: Killer nurses are based on a true story, one is imprisoned in Florida

Be a kid again: Hercules and Mulan

Remember last month when Disney announced it would pull all of its movies from Netflix and create its own streaming service? Well, that day is a still a couple years off, and luckily Netflix keeps adding classic Disney movies to its roster. Four animated features are coming to the streaming giant this month, and first up are Hercules and Mulan. The former is a family-friendly spin on Greek mythology, pitting the hunky half-god against a host of mythological creatures to prove his strength. Then there's Mulan, which features the patriarchy-fighting Chinese soldier who disguises herself as a man to fight the invading Huns. Both are available on Netflix.

Coming to Netflix in September: Four Disney movies, The Magic School Bus Rides Again and more

Upcoming streaming releases

Friday: Unsolved Mysteries Season 8 (Amazon), Narcos Season 3 (Netflix), Little Evil (Netflix), Pulp Fiction (Netflix)
Tuesday: Marc Maron: Too Real (Netflix)
Sept. 8: One Mississippi Season 2 (Amazon)
Sept. 15: American Vandal (Netflix)
Sept. 22: Fuller House Season 3 (Netflix), Transparent Season 4 (Amazon)
