Tiesto, Cedric Gervais coming to the Ritz Ybor in Tampa

Luis Santana

It seems like a million years ago, but there actually was once a time when electronic dance music wasn't a gajillion-dollar industry, with EDM's top names drawing crowds of tens of thousands at festivals around the world.

Back then, around 2009 to 2011, DJs like Tiesto, Deadmau5 and Skrillex could play clubs as small as the Ritz Ybor. Now, of course, they've graduated to much bigger things, right?

Not necessarily. Tiesto, who for years was considered the world's No. 1 DJ, will return to the Ritz Ybor on Nov. 16 for a rare, exceedingly intimate performance. Ticket prices have not been announced, but they'll go on sale at noon Thursday. Click here for details.

In other news, Cedric Gervais -- who, like Tiesto, is used to rocking massive crowds at EDM festivals around the world -- will also perform at the Ritz later this year. He's got a show booked on Dec. 16, and early bird tickets are just $10. (Also, word to the wise, Gervais and Hulk Hogan are good buddies -- Hulk introduced Gervais at this year's Sunset Music Festival -- so there's a good chance Hogan might show up at this show.)
