Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance: This 12-week program starts Jan. 22 with classes from 1:20 to 2:20 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Big Ideas: How Maps Shape Our Perspective: The Mercator Projection map depicts the United States and Europe as larger, and more central, than they actually are. Civil Rights Activist Desmond Meade to speak: Meade will speak at the meeting of the Trinity Democratic Club. He is president of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, and is known for his work on felon disfranchisement issues, particularly the restoration of voting rights to end discrimination.
