  1. Bucs journal: Dirk Koetter says Doug Martin's not at fault for struggling running game

TAMPA — RB Doug Martin had just 38 yards on 19 carries in Sunday's win against the Dolphins, but coach Dirk Koetter said his team's struggles running the ball shouldn't go squarely on his running back.

"In my opinion, he is not the reason we're not moving the ball on offense," Koetter said Monday. "If you look at the tape, Doug's making a little bit out of not too much, more often than not."...

  2. Cannon Fodder podcast: One last look at Bucs-Dolphins

Times Bucs writer Greg Auman looks back on Tampa Bay's wild 30-20 win over the Dolphins, their second straight win and first on the road this season, the good and bad of that, plus a major off-field story now surrounding QB Jameis Winston. Listen below:

  3. Figures from FSU case enter latest allegation against Jameis Winston

MIAMI GARDENS — The case of Jameis Winston and a female Uber driver in Arizona took more twists Sunday, with Winston getting some level of corroboration, and his unnamed accuser retaining a familiar, high-profile attorney.

Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby released a statement in defense of Winston, saying he was in the back seat with the Bucs quarterback during the Uber ride in March 2016 and "nothing inappropriate" happened....

  4. Bucs-Dolphins journal: Patrick Murray on winning kick: 'I knew I was going to make it'

MIAMI GARDENS — Patrick Murray has been so consistent since taking over as the Bucs' kicker that he had no doubt when called upon to make a go-ahead field goal with four seconds left in Sunday's win.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed three passes for 55 yards in the final three minutes, and Murray made good on his 35-yard kick to break a 20-all tie....

  5. Bucs-Dolphins: How rookies like O.J. Howard carried the day

MIAMI GARDENS — From start to finish, the Bucs' wobbly 30-20 win over the Dolphins on Sunday was made possible by game-changing plays made by rookies.

The Bucs' top three picks in this year's draft — tight end O.J. Howard, safety Justin Evans and receiver Chris Godwin — continue to grow into larger roles. Sunday was a showcase for their precocious ability to contribute in the clutch....

  6. Bucs-Dolphins: Things to watch in Sunday's 1 p.m. game

TAMPA — Can the Bucs pull off back-to-back wins with a backup quarterback? Win a game on the road for the first time this season? Politely hand the unnamed trophy for the state's worst football team back to the Dolphins?

With WR Mike Evans back from his suspension and QB Jameis Winston remaining sidelined with a shoulder injury, here are the things to watch in today's 1 p.m. Bucs-Dolphins game....

Ryan Fitzpatrick will start today for injured Jameis Winston, and should be able to find favorable downfield matchups against young Dolphins corners Xavien Howard and Cordrea Tankersley.
  7. Cannon Fodder podcast: Bucs-Dolphins preview

Greg Auman has a final preview of Sunday's Bucs-Dolphins game in Miami in his latest Cannon Fodder podcast.

He talks about key matchups to watch for, from perhaps the NFL's best slot receiver in Jarvis Landry, to Miami's vulnerabilities at right tackle and a pair of young cornerbacks who have combined to allow opposing QBs a collective 104.8 QB rating. Listen below:'...

  8. Bucs journal: DB Vernon Hargreaves will miss Sunday's game with hamstring injury

TAMPA — The Bucs will play Sunday against the Dolphins without Vernon Hargreaves, who has been their nickel defensive back the past two games.

Hargreaves, the 2016 first-round pick out of Florida and a former Wharton High standout, has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury he sustained during Sunday's victory against the Jets. Javien Elliott filled in for the rest of that game, though the Bucs might turn back to Robert McClain, who opened the season as the nickel but missed Sunday's game with his own hamstring injury....

  9. Jameis Winston accused of groping Uber driver

TAMPA — The NFL is investigating an allegation that Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston groped a female Uber driver in Arizona in March 2016.

Winston called the allegations "false" and contested the unnamed female driver's assertion that he was her only passenger, suggesting someone else was in the passenger seat.

The driver told BuzzFeed News that when she arrived to a party scene in downtown Scottsdale around 2 a.m., a group of men told her that she would be transporting Winston. The men put Winston in the front passenger seat, and he was the only passenger, the report says....

  11. Bucs journal: DeSean Jackson stepping up leadership

TAMPA — With WR Mike Evans suspended Sunday, WR DeSean Jackson set season highs with six catches on 10 targets in helping the Bucs to a 15-10 win over the Jets. The former Pro Bowler also embraced more of a leadership role.

"Let's not forget where … we came from," Jackson told the team as it huddled in the locker room after the game, from video posted on the Bucs' official site. "We can't get too excited. It's one game. We're still 3-6. Have fun, celebrate, we still have to come to work and put the hard hats on. The goal is seven in a row. Let's turn this around."...

  12. Cannon Fodder podcast: Bucs look to build momentum against Dolphins

In his latest podcast, Greg Auman says the Bucs can take some optimism from the way Carolina was able to move the ball and pile up points on Miami's defense Monday night.

The Dolphins have a short week to try to turn things before playing host to the Bucs on Sunday, as Tampa Bay tries to build some momentum following last weekend's victory over the Jets. Listen below:...

  13. Bucs journal: Dirk Koetter says plan unchanged for injured Jameis Winston

TAMPA — The day after Bucs general manager Jason Licht said QB Jameis Winston may be sidelined for an "extended period," coach Dirk Koetter said the topic of the quarterback being shut down for the season has not come up in conversation.

"There has been no discussion between Jason and myself of him not playing again," Koetter said in reiterating the plan to rest Winston for two games — including Sunday at Miami — and then re-evaluate his injured shoulder. "That would all be something that would have to come up in the future."...

Vernon Hargreaves, left, covering Jets receiver Jermaine Kearse, has a hamstring issue.
  14. Bucs-Jets journal: How rookie Chris Godwin filled in for Mike Evans

  15. Defense and field goals allow Bucs to snap five-game losing streak, 15-10 over Jets

TAMPA — Defense and field goals — two things that haven't always been there for the Bucs — came together for a 15-10 win over the Jets on Sunday as Tampa Bay ended a five-game losing streak with a victory at Raymond James Stadium.

Patrick Murray went 3-for-3 on field goals, providing all the points until fill-in quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a 6-yard score to Charles Sims with 6:05 left in the game. The Bucs defense did the rest, getting six sacks and forcing two turnovers to control the game....
